Thank you for stopping by my website. My love for wood carving began with an unexpected gift of carving knives that I received as a birthday present. I had always loved being creative, but had never thought of wood carving. I fell in love with the process immediately. 

 Inspiration and influence for my pieces come from many places. Vintage holiday decorations and illustrations, old circus and vaudeville posters, and early folk art works to name a few. Some of my carvings will be completed in a couple of days. Others will sit around my studio for weeks, and even months, waiting to be finished. Those are usually my favorite pieces, maybe because I have lived with them for awhile.

Each piece is carved from either basswood or cedar, hand painted and antiqued to give it a vintage feel. All pieces are then signed and dated.
