Wishing you joy, today and throughout the new year.
These festive trees are made of salvage wood and decorated with aged copper, glass beads, marbles, nail heads and bits of found objects. All are one of a kind... They look great in a group or as a single tree.
A Santa from earlier this year. He rode down south to join a collection in Texas.. Carved wood, salvage wood and vintage finds
A recent commission for a Halloween collector in Florida who requested a multi-character piece.
I really love to see display photos from collectors! This is from a Halloween collection in California that includes some of my wood carvings.
Something new from me this year, art blocks and prints from my original paintings and mixed media works to spook up your holiday decor!
The art blocks have a high quality print mounted onto a wood block, which is then finished with a matte sealer. They can either be hung on a wall or displayed on a flat surface. I love the smooth, mellow finish on these!
Prints are done on Epson Lustre paper using Epson Ultrachrome HDR inks. They come with a 1" white border, but can also be framed with a black mat.

Giving my hands a badly needed rest from carving tonight, but am really enjoying working on this pumpkin girl painting.... Looking forward to sharing some new products that are in the works for this Halloween!
These two bird sculptures are included in the Dreamakur silent auction for room makeovers at Riley Children's Hospital. The auction takes place at Incrediplex (Incrediplex, 6002 Sunnyside Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46236) June 18th at 5pm. This is a wonderful program for Riley that I hope is a huge success!
Dreamakur is hosting a ride and silent auction to raise funds for room transformations at Riley Children’s Hospital of Indianapolis. The unit is for the worst of bone, spine and brain trauma, things that no child should ever have to go through. The rooms are being transformed for distraction therapy and to help them cope and reduce stress. I think it’s a wonderful thing that they are doing. This will be the only one in the country and I hope it spreads to other cities.
Here are some pics of the room transformations. I'll be sending two bird sculptures for the silent auction. The Dreamakur ride and auction takes place June 18th.
New Snowmen wood carvings are available in my holiday shop. Let them warm up your chilly, winter days..
I'm excited to have some of my bird assemblages included in the winter issue of Prims magazine. They were great to work with in putting the article together and it was fun to see the inspired work by other featured artists. #Prims
These are two of my larger Santas from this year, headed down to celebrate the season in Texas.
The loving nature of the couple who requested this piece made it one of my favorites this year. They have been taking in rescue dogs and cats for the past 20 years. As each one passes, they commission a likeness of them with Santa by an American woodcarver. This is Kit receiving her favorite toy (a little stuffed whale) from Santa.. Their collection includes pieces from some of my favorite carvers.. Tony Costanza, Tim Jumper, Dick and Nancy Moore and Vaughn and Stephanie Rawson.. Such a wonderful thing to do for these animals and a loving way to remember them..
